Educator and Cabool alumnus Rex Beltz visited Cabool High School Tuesday afternoon to share his NASA flight experience with students, encouraging them to pursue their dreams.

Beltz, son of Kenneth and Viola Beltz, graduated from CHS in 1991. He is currently a science teacher at Rock Ridge High School in Columbia, Missouri. Last November he and fellow educator Melanie Knocke, Columbia Public Schools planetarium director, were part of a team that took two flights on NASA’s Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA).
