HS Summer School Art students hard at work!

posted May 30, 2017, 5:41 AM by Cabool R-IV Schools
Summer School Art has been hard at work learning how to bind books, which in turn will be their art sketchbooks. Also, they have learned the process of wet felting and needle felting (both 2D and 3D). Wet felting is done by placing wool in alternating directions and aggravating it with both warm and cold soapy water. Needle felting is done by using a special needle that creates knotting when poked through the wool into a foam backing. The last project that these students have worked on is glass mosaics. The glass is broken up and applied in a fashion similar to laying tile.
