School board offers contracts for 2016-17 year!

The following actions were taken by Cabool Board of Education during a closed session on March 14.  

High school principal Brad Shockley was awarded a contract extension through the 2017-18 school year for 210 days per year at a 1.7 salary index.

Middle school principal Cheryl Manning was awarded a contract extension through the 2017-18 school year for 210 days per year at a 1.65 index.

Elementary school principal Aaron Miller was awarded a two-year contact for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years for 210 days per year at a 1.6 index.

Special education coordinator Angela Jester was awarded a two-year contact for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years for 210 days per year at a 1.6 index.

Sarah Middleton was offered a probationary first grade teacher contract for the 2016-17 school year.

Probationary contracts were offered to the following elementary school teachers for the 2016-17 school year: Jerry Adkins, Shyanna Bayless, Bradley Coleman, Jennifer Collins, Tina Cox, Brady Dean, Cindy Hawkins, Chelsie Jones, Katie Presser, Elaine Rhoades, Jaclyn Sheppard, William Thomas and Lisa Thomas.

Probationary contracts were offered to the following middle school teachers for the 2016-17 school year: Audrey McCarty, Robert Mossman, Florinda Reed, Traci Riggs, Rebena Sigman, Ryan Smith, Misti Thiele and Melissa Willhite.

Probationary contracts were offered to the following high school teachers for the 2016-17 school year: Logan Bell, Dennis Brown, Shelby Conn, Jennifer Cooper, Jeremy Miller, Gregory O’Connor, Brandon Snow and Rance Walls.

Tenure contracts were offered to the following high school teachers: Wendy Inman and Courtney Morrill.

The following sponsors were hired for the 2016-17 school year: Leslie Appleton, FFA; Judy Cantrell, Beta Club and prom; Juliet Vonallmen, freshman class; Shelby Conn, high school Student Council; Jennifer Cooper, FCCLA; Alysha Dotson, Honors Club; Wendy Inman, vocal music (7-12) and band director; Jeremy Miller, senior class; Audrey McCarty, middle school Student Council; Jamminy McCrosky, DREAM Team; Rance Walls, junior class; Linda Morgan, freshman class; Courtney Morrill, prom and high school Art Club; Katie Presser, vocal music (K-6); Jennifer Smotherman, DREAM Team; Lisa Thomas, Early Childhood activities; Sherry Wheat, senior class; Brian Thiele, Math & Science Club; Debra Moore, junior class; Rance Walls, FBLA and yearbook; Jason Vonallmen, junior class; Ruth Williams, National Honor Society.

The position of football field maintenance was eliminated.

The following coaching positions were filled for the 2017-17 school year: Jacob Brookshire, high school boys’ basketball assistant; Rance Beller, head girls’ basketball; Jacob Brookshire, athletic director; Mandy Bennett, high school softball assistant; Melissa Bradshaw, high school volleyball assistant; Dennis Brown, middle school boys’ basketball; Shelby Conn, high school girls’ basketball assistant; Brady Dean, high school head baseball; Margie Emery, middle school girls’ track; John Hale, high school football assistant; Allison Howe, middle school volleyball; Angie Jester, high school head volleyball; Dennis Brown, high school head softball; Jamminy McCrosky, high school girls’ track; Jamminy McCrosky, middle school girls’ basketball; Robert Mossman, middle school boys’ basketball; Robert Mossman, middle school boys’ baseball; Brad Shockley, high school head boys’ basketball; Ryan Smith, high school football assistant; Ryan Smith, high school baseball assistant; Brian Thiele, middle school football assistant; Jason Vonallmen, middle school boys’ track; Rance Walls, middle school football assistant.

Cody Poe was approved as a volunteer helper for the high school track program for the 2016-17 school year.
