Shockley qualifies for national FCCLA competition!

Cabool High School freshman Grace Shockley has qualified for competition at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference that will be held in Nashville, Tennessee, in July.

Cabool Board of Education on Monday evening gave approval for Shockley to attend the conference July 2-6.

Shockley will compete in the Interpersonal Communications category with her STAR Event Project Body Image. She qualified with her project at regional competition held March 19-21.

STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events are competitions in which members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills and career preparation.

Shockley is also the president of the CHS FCCLA Chapter.
