Cabool Elementary School students recently gathered up spare change and raided piggy banks as part of Pennies For Patients, raising $670 for cancer patients.

The fundraiser was coordinated by school nurse Diana Lada. The classroom bringing in the most money was treated by Lada to a pizza party and also got to tape school counselor Bradley Coleman – known to CES students as Mr. C – to the lunchroom wall.

Jodi Darter’s kindergarten class was the top fundraiser.

Top individual fundraisers in the school were Colton Mayberry, a member of Darter’s kindergarten class; Emily Mayberry, a second grader in Jerry Adkins’ class; and Trece Hadley, a kindergarten student in Darter’s class.
