Nomination Comments

Mrs. Alejandrea Arce (CES)

• • Music is a magical part of our world. Music helps us learn and grow. It guides us to people and places. Mrs Arce is talented musically and a gifted teacher. Her lessons are holistic incorporating many forms of learning, and many subject areas. The students respond to her love for them and for the music she teaches. She is a kind, hard working person who willingly helps all those around her. Our school is a better place with her and her family in it. 

Mrs. Jessica Brotherton (CES)

• • I would like to nominate **Jessica Brotherton** for Teacher of the Month. Jessica is an amazing, creative, and incredibly dedicated educator. In her role as a Pre-K teacher, she pours so much into her students, but her impact reaches far beyond her classroom. Over the last couple of years, I have had the privilege of watching Jessica mold numerous girls—more than 30 each year, which is honestly a little insane—into confident, high-IQ volleyball players. She has a gift for teaching, encouraging, and bringing out the best in kids, both in the classroom and on the court. And because apparently she doesn’t have enough on her plate, Jessica is also the treasurer for the Cabool Music Boosters. She has brought previous experience and knowledge to that role that has been absolutely invaluable. She has helped organize, streamline, and strengthen the boosters while willingly jumping in wherever she is needed. She is dependable, creative, and somehow always willing to take on one more thing to help our students and programs succeed. Jessica is one of those people who makes a school and community better simply by being part of it. She gives her time, energy, creativity, and heart to our kids in so many different ways. She is truly a GEM—and quite honestly, a lifesaver—and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of being recognized as Teacher of the Month. 

Mrs. April Collins (CMS)

• • Mrs. Collins- she is enthusiastic and makes science fun. She uses hands-on labs and experiments that help her students understand what they are learning. Her energy and dedication make their class exciting and enjoyable. 

Mrs. Jennifer Collins (CES)

• • Mrs. Collins is a great teammate! She is the first to volunteer to help out in anyway she can. She is thoughtful in all things she does. Her smile lights up our hallway! She always has a smile and joke ready for the kids each morning. I appreciate her positivity! 

  • Mrs. Collins is an amazing teacher! She takes the time to truly know each child and recognizes that every student has different needs, strengths, and challenges. She goes above and beyond to make sure her students feel supported, encouraged, and valued. Her compassion and commitment are evident in the care she puts into everything she does, both in and outside of the classroom.  

Mr. Robert Crewse (CHS)

• • Mr. Crewse has done a great job stepping into his new role as athletic director. Taking on a position with so many responsibilities, moving parts and people to support is no small task. He has approached the role with dedication, organization and a genuine desire to support and strengthen our athletic programs. I appreciate his willingness to take on challenges, support others and continue learning and growing in his new role.  

  • Mr. Crewse is juggling a lot of new jobs this year and continues to bring a great attitude to CHS!  

Mrs. Alysha Dotson (CMS)

• • Alysha puts a lot into her computer classes and gives students opportunities to do so much more than just typing. They get to work with coding, STEM activities, Math i-Ready, 3D printing, and other hands-on projects. She also does a great job helping students stay on top of their schoolwork in general.  

Mr. Bryce Duddridge (CHS)

• • Coach Dudderidge genuinely cares about his students and their success. He continues to show a deep commitment to helping his students grow not only academically and athletically, but also as individuals who are preparing to become successful young adults. He builds meaningful relationships with his students while holding them to high expectations and challenging them to become the best versions of themselves. His dedication, encouragement, and positive influence continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of his students and our school community.  

Mrs. Taylor Goforth (CES)

• • Mrs. Goforth shows outstanding dedication to student success. She creates a supportive, encouraging environment where students gain confidence even when faced with a Math Concept that is challenging for them. Her collaboration with teachers and commitment to meeting each student’s individual needs make her an invaluable member of our school community. 

Mrs. Cindy Hawkins (CES)

• • Cindy is a pleasure to work alongside in the Elementary school. She has high expectations for her students, and does all she can to help each child meet their full potential. She is a team player, organized and always advocating for her students. 

Mrs. Baylee Inman (CES)

• • Mrs. Baylee Inman has a heart of gold. She genuinely cares for each child and treats them with so much love, kindness, and respect. Instilling a love of books and reading in children is so important, and she does this beautifully by carefully and intentionally selecting books for her lesson plans that are not only enjoyable but also teach valuable lessons and meaningful values. She is always ready and willing to help a child or a colleague, and it is clear that she is truly dedicated to helping and inspiring the children. Her kindness and easygoing personality are appreciated by everyone who has the pleasure of working with her.

Mrs. Sheena Jackson (CHS)

• • Teacher of the Month Nomination: Mrs. Jackson I would like to nominate Mrs. Jackson for Teacher of the Month. She is the kind of teacher whose dedication reaches far beyond simply teaching lessons—she truly pours her heart and soul into her classroom and into the lives of her students. Mrs. Jackson teaches a large special education class made up of students with many different abilities, learning styles, and educational needs. Teaching a classroom with such a wide range of learners requires an incredible amount of patience, flexibility, and preparation. She works hard to develop lessons and provide instruction that meets each student at his or her individual level, giving every student the opportunity to learn, grow, and experience success. Her commitment to students does not end when the school day is over. In addition to her already demanding classroom responsibilities, Ms. Jackson has taken on tutoring a homeschool student after school hours. She willingly gives her own time to help another young person receive the support needed to succeed. Ms. Jackson is also responsible for the Random Acts of Kindness Club, where she encourages students to think beyond themselves and teaches the importance of compassion, generosity, and helping others. These are lessons that students will carry with them long after they leave the classroom. As if all of this were not enough, Ms. Jackson also operates the Pup Cup from her classroom. Managing this program while teaching a busy special education class and handling her many other responsibilities is no small task. She continues to find ways to provide meaningful experiences for students while keeping everything moving forward. Behind all of these responsibilities is also a mother of three who balances the demands of her own family with the tremendous amount of time and energy she gives to her students and school. What makes Ms. Jackson especially deserving of this recognition is not simply the number of things she does—it is the care she puts into doing them. Her students are not just names on a class roster. She recognizes that every child is different, that some students need more patience and encouragement than others, and that success does not look the same for every student. Ms. Jackson demonstrates what it means to be a dedicated educator. She teaches, encourages, supports, organizes, mentors, and continually gives more of herself for the benefit of her students and school community. For her extraordinary dedication, compassion, work ethic, and commitment to helping students succeed, I am proud to nominate Ms. Jackson for Teacher of the Month. She is incredibly deserving of this recognition. 

Mrs. Kara Lane (CMS)

• • Mrs. Lane does a great job teaching our kids math in a way that they can understand! They also love Mrs. Lane and going to her class! 

Mrs. Rachel Martin (CES)

• • Mrs. Martin is an amazing teacher and leader of her grade level team. She works so hard to make sure her lessons are engaging for students, and I see her intentionally seeking out ways to build relationships with her students. Additionally, she works extra hard as she takes on the role of a mentor teacher for a college student and in her role of coordinating teacher for a teacher of record. She has a lot on her plate but continues to serve with a smile. 

Mrs. Jaclyn Sheppard (CES)

• • Jackie goes above and beyond for her students. She uses research-based assessments to identify gaps and ensure she meets students where they are. She truly is one of a kind and puts students first! 

Mrs. Lacy Sigman (CMS)

• • Mrs. Sigman has patience, a huge heart, and a passion for learning. She goes above and beyond to support every student, inspiring confidence in each life she touches. We are blessed to have her at CMS! 

Mrs. Victoria Sigman (CES)

• • She is a great teacher who cares about her student's education, success, and work performance. She is responsible, dedicated and thorough in carrying out her job duties. She demonstrates professionalism and takes pride in supporting her students. I appreciate her commitment to her work.  

Ms. Ginger Sneiderman (CHS)

• • Ms. Sneiderman pushes into classrooms, pulls out of classrooms, offers morning tutoring, and still manages to give every student 100% attention. Her students are off to a great start this year!! 

Mrs. Julie Thompson (CES)

• • Julie has approached a challenging start to her year with perseverance and a positive attitude. She is always looking for opportunities to help her struggling students get what they need. I appreciate her patience, cooperation and collaborative style of teaching. We are blessed to have her in our district.

Nomination Comments

Megan Cole (District SLP)

• Our school district is fortunate to have our own SLP, and we are incredibly lucky that ours is the very best—Mrs. Megan! Mrs. Megan is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and kind. She brings so much expertise and compassion to her work, and the impact she has on our students reaches far beyond the classroom. Learning to communicate through words and voice is such an important part of a child’s development. The skills Mrs. Megan helps our students develop are truly lifelong skills—skills that allow children to share their ideas, express their needs, be understood, and understand others. What a gift it is to have Mrs. Megan providing these valuable services to our students. We are so grateful for the difference she makes every day! 

William "Bill" Johnson (District Maintenance) 

• I would like to nominate Bill Johnson for October’s Staff Member of the Month. Bill is the definition of a professional and consistently approaches his work with a positive, can-do attitude. He is kind, dependable, and someone you can count on. When Bill says he is going to get something done, you can trust that it will be done. He and his staff worked tirelessly throughout the summer to complete the countless tasks necessary to prepare our school for the start of a new year. Their hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it makes a tremendous difference in the experience of our students and staff. One project that deserves particular recognition was the work Bill and his staff put into refinishing the old band room and helping move the band back into the space. Their work has created such a positive transition—not only for the band program, but for students and teachers throughout the building. It has made the space more welcoming, functional, and enjoyable for everyone who uses it. Bill’s dedication, professionalism, and willingness to find a way to get things done make him an invaluable member of our staff. He consistently demonstrates that he cares about our school and the people in it, and I believe he is very deserving of October’s Staff Member of the Month recognition. 

• Bill is still doing it all! I appreciate the constant communication that he provides, so all departments can be successful. And he's a proud Cabool Bulldog fan, attending as many games possible!  

• Bill has gone above and beyond since starting at Cabool and our grounds and buildings show it! He has built an amazing team and he brings a smile to our buildings everyday! Bill is a great addition to Cabool Schools!

Kathleen Lewis (CMS Custodian) 

• She goes above and beyond every single day to make sure our school is not only clean, safe, and in excellent working order, but also a place that everyone can be proud of. She takes great pride in the appearance of our building and continually finds ways to make it welcoming and enjoyable for our students, staff, and families. Her hard work often happens behind the scenes, and goes unnoticed, but makes a tremendous difference in the daily experience of everyone in our school. More importantly, she sets an incredible example for our students by demonstrating the importance of pride, responsibility, teamwork, and taking care of the place we call our school. Her dedication, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile do not go unnoticed, and our building is a better place because of everything she does. 

Aaron Miller (CES Principal) 

• Mr. Miller truly knows how to take care of his teachers. He makes you feel appreciated, valued, and supported in your work. He follows through and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels seen and heard. He is also wonderful with children, showing them patience, kindness, and consistency. Mr. Miller exemplifies strong leadership qualities that help make our elementary school a place where everyone feels safe, respected, and cared for. We are very lucky to have his guidance and genuine commitment to our school community. He is a wonderful leader, and we are grateful for all that he does for both the teachers and the children.

• Mr. Miller's role as the Elementary and Pre-K Principal requires a lot of responsibilities. Even with all that he has to do, he still makes time to stop by classrooms and is a positive presence in our building. He strives to improve in his role and seeks out ways to improve leadership. And, of course, he always makes time for a "dad joke" in the morning announcements!

Sharon Monter (CMS Paraprofessional) 

• She is always willing to help out where help is needed.  She works great with the students.   

Christy Primanzon  (CES Paraprofessional) 

• Christy is truly such a joy to work with. She is a very kind, caring, and genuine person who always treats others with respect and kindness. Her soft-spoken and gentle personality makes her a wonderful person to have around the building, and she brings a calm and positive presence to those around her.

Brett Rawlings (CHS Counselor) 

• Brett has been a wonderful addition to CHS. He makes students feel welcome and is eager to help them in any way that he can.  

Christina Sanchez-Haynes (CMS Paraprofessional) 

• Mrs. Chris brings consistency, patience, and dedication to our school each and every day. She creates engaging activities, establishes a dependable routine, and always makes sure her student feels supported, valued, and included. Her compassion and commitment to helping students succeed is inspiring.

Mandy Scarbrough (Central Office Secretary) 

• Mandy is an excellent addition to our Cabool family. She strives to do her best daily and doesn't give up. I appreciate her positivity and the support she gives to all who encounter her. She is truly the best! 

• Mandy has been a great addition to the central office. She is always very friendly and willing to help staff, students, and parents.

Carmen Signman (District Food Services Director) 

• Carmen has made such a positive change to our district’s menus, and it has definitely been noticed by both students and staff. The hot breakfast options, new menu items, and having the salad bar back have all been such a nice change. It is clear that Carmen is listening to what students and staff enjoy and is putting a lot of effort into giving everyone more variety. The changes she has made have brought some excitement back to breakfast and lunch, and I really appreciate everything she is doing to keep our district fed! 

Misti Thiele (CMS Counselor) 

• Mrs. Thiele goes above and beyond for our students and staff members. She is always there to help with any problem any of us may have. We are all so thankful for her! 

Jeremy Thompson (CMS Principal) 

• Since stepping into his role as the new Middle School Principal, Mr. Thompson has done an exceptional job leading with purpose, positivity, and a genuine commitment to our students.  He has already made meaningful changes that have had a positive impact on the middle school. His decisions reflect a desire to create an environment where students feel supported, challenged and encouraged to become the best versions of themselves. Taking on a new leadership role comes with challenges, but Mr. Thompson has approached those challenges with dedication, professionalism and willingness to make a positive impact.  

Kevin Wilcoxen - District Technology Director 

• • Kevin has helped us out many times when we had no idea how to fix a problem. He is always quick to help and efficient in his work.  

  • We have the BEST IT department. They have an efficient system for submitting technology needs, and are always quick to respond.
