Building Level School Principal

Custodian & Maintenance Team Member
The Cabool R-IV School District is seeking a dependable, hard-working individual to help maintain a clean, safe, and functional learning environment. This position goes beyond basic custodial duties and plays a key role in facility repairs, construction support, and building improvements across the district.
Responsibilities include: Maintaining cleanliness of classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas Performing routine custodial duties (sweeping, mopping, trash removal, floor care) Assisting with building repairs, renovations, and construction projects Completing basic carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and minor plumbing/electrical work Supporting larger projects including demolition, material handling, and site preparation Setting up and tearing down for school events Monitoring facilities and responding to maintenance needs Assisting with grounds upkeep (mowing, snow removal, general maintenance) Help ensure buildings are safe, secure, and operational
Experience criteria: Strong work ethic and reliability Experience in maintenance, construction, or skilled trades preferred Ability to use hand and power tools safely Willingness to assist with physically demanding repair and construction tasks Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs (or more with assistance) Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and lifting Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
